Dr. Kimberly Schroeder
Founder and President
Dr. Kimberly Schroeder has 23 years of experience in college counseling and enrollment management, including work with historically underserved students. As a first-generation student herself, Dr. Schroeder truly believes in the transformative power of education and has dedicated her career to working with students from all backgrounds to find the best path to postsecondary education. She spent 15 years in higher education as a senior administrator and associate dean working in enrollment management. Dr. Schroeder has been active locally and nationally to promote access to postsecondary options for students.
She served two terms on the Board of Directors for the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), as the Coordinator of the Presidents' Council for NACAC, as President of the Kentucky Association for College Admission Counseling and as Vice-Chair of the College Access Network.
In 2015, Dr. Kim Schroeder, founded the Clark County Community Scholars (CCCFS) with her colleagues, Dr. Brad Goan and Ms. Ingrid Allen, in collaboration with the Clark County Community Foundation. Dr.Schroeder took over sole management of CCCFS in 2018 and in 2020, Dr. Schroeder created the Community Foundation Scholars to expand the program to serve more students and families across the Central Kentucky region.
Dr. Schroeder received her PhD at the University of Kentucky in Higher Education with a focus on measurement, assessment and evaluation. She is an experienced evaluator specializing in education programs related to child/student outcomes, college readiness, transition, persistence, completion, and professional development programming for educators. She most recentSly authored a chapter on collecting and using data in higher education. (KPIs, Data Collection and Situation Analysis. Strategic Enrollment Planning (2023)) In addition, she co-authored the Data Meeting Toolkit, a suite of tools for K-12 educators to use to guide conversation around data and support data-based decision-making, published by the IDEA Data Center, funded by the Office of Special Education Programs, United States Department of Education. In 2012, Dr. Schroeder’s dissertation focused on the use of data informed decision making by enrollment professionals. Dr. Schroeder has also presented nationally on various topics related to using data to inform decision-making in K-12 and higher education and effective evaluation practices.
Dr. Schroeder is founder and President of KAS Consulting, LLC, which offers comprehensive evaluation and strategic planning services to educational agencies, institutions, and organizations. Her professional areas of interest are creating cultures of data within organizations and empowering practitioners to use data to maximize outcomes and resource allocation. She is a native of Elmhurst, Illinois and studied at the University of Kentucky and the University of Cincinnati.
